A peaceful, quiet and a beautiful place to study, Mangalore has a total of more than 200 Tibetan Students pursuing different courses of interest. The most common course being nursing and other courses such Physio Therapy, Hotel Management, MLT, BBA, BSC. in MRT, Mass Communication, etc.
The spoken language of the place is Kannada and the climate is humid although there are a number of beaches to hang out during leisure in summer. Most of the students especially girls stay in hostel whilst majority of the boy stay by themselves ( by renting room). Hostel life is enjoyable although first many will have some trouble adjusting with the south Indian food.
Tibetan Students Association(Mangalore)/ Regional Tibetan Youth Congress is the governing body of the Tibetan students of Mangalore tending towards the welfare and unity among the student. It also organizes different events and programs to raise awareness about the Tibetan issue.
